This page explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data. No sign-in is needed to read it.
Option 1 — from the app (immediate)
- Open the app and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type
delete accountto confirm, then tap Delete.
If you signed in a while ago, you will be asked to sign in again before the deletion completes, for security.
Option 2 — by email
If you no longer have the app installed, write to privacidad@laligapirenaica.com from the address you registered with, with the subject “Delete account”. We will respond within one month at the latest.
What is deleted
Immediately and permanently:
- Your sign-in account — email and password cease to exist in Firebase Authentication.
- Your standings row — display name, total score, number of unique passes and the date of your last validation. It disappears from the public leaderboard.
Your accumulated score cannot be recovered. Deletion is irreversible.
What is kept, and for how long
Validation records (pass identifier, date and time, coordinates, GPS accuracy, distance to the pass and points awarded) are immutable by design: they are the auditable proof of each pass stamped, needed to resolve disputes about the final standings.
- Once the account is deleted they are no longer tied to an active participant, and they are deleted or anonymised at most 12 months after the season closes.
- If you want them deleted or anonymised sooner, ask for it in the same email as Option 2 and it will be done manually within one month at the latest.
Analytics data (Firebase Analytics) is not linked to your name or email and is deleted automatically according to the configured retention, at most after 14 months.
The website newsletter is separate from your account: unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any of its emails.
