Common problems

A pass won’t validate

Validation works the same for the Validate this pass button and for automatic ride tracking, and it requires two things at once:

• Being inside the pass radius — 150 m for most of them.
• A GPS fix accurate to better than 50 m. This is the one that usually fails: under trees, between rock walls or right after a tunnel the sensor reports worse accuracy and the validation is rejected.

What to do: stop with a clear view of the sky, give the GPS a few seconds to settle, and tap Validate this pass again.

If it still won’t go through, there’s a Tell us what happened link under the error message: it sends us the exact GPS reading we rejected and your distance to the pass. That’s the only way we can work out what went wrong, and it works with no signal — it sends itself once you’re back in range.

Other reasons a stamp doesn’t count:

• Each pass scores once per season; a second stamp adds nothing.
• Validations outside the season dates don’t count.
• Without location permission nothing can be validated. For the app to stamp passes on its own while you ride, the permission must be “Always” (system Settings → the app → Location).

I validated with no signal and it isn’t showing

That’s expected. The app stores the validation on the phone and syncs it by itself as soon as you get signal back. Open the app on mobile data or Wi-Fi and wait a few seconds.

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot your password? and enter your email. You’ll get a link to change it. If it doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder.

I want to change my display name

Profile → Edit name. That’s the name shown in the public standings. It can be 2 to 64 characters — letters, numbers, spaces, apostrophes, hyphens and dots. Nothing else is accepted, so a name can’t be padded with invisible characters or made to reorder the row it sits in.

A rider’s name is offensive

Open their profile from the standings and use Report this rider, at the bottom. It reaches us the same way as any other report, with the rider’s id attached so we know exactly which entry you mean.

What happens next: we read it within 2–3 working days. A name that breaks the rules is cleared straight away — the rider shows as anonymous in the standings until they choose another one — and a repeat offender is removed from the league. Their validations are kept either way; they’re the audit record of the season.

I want to delete my account

Profile → Delete account. What is deleted, what is kept, and how to ask by email if you no longer have the app: Delete your account.

How to report a problem

The quickest way is from the app, under Profile → Send feedback. If it’s about one particular pass, use its page instead: Something not right about this pass?, at the bottom.

Do it that way whenever you can: the app attaches the version, phone model, language and — on a pass report — your last GPS reading by itself, which is exactly what we need and the most tedious part to type out. It’s also saved on the phone and sent as soon as you’re back in coverage, so you can report it right there at the pass, with no signal.

We read every report and reply to your account’s email address within 2–3 working days.

If you can’t open the app, write to soporte@laligapirenaica.com with:

• Phone model and iOS or Android version.
• App version — shown at the bottom of Profile (v1.0.0 · Season …).
• Pass name, approximate date and time, if it’s a validation problem.
• What you expected to happen and what happened instead.
• A screenshot, if you can.
